The scientific conference and product launch of originator Aloxi® took place on March 3, 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City. In a solemn and exciting atmosphere, Viet-Phap organized a large scientific conference to access and share new advances in the field of antiemetic treatment due to cancer chemotherapy. This event was combined with the launch ceremony of the originator Aloxi® and had opened up new prospects and hope for cancer patients in Vietnam.

The conference was held with the large participation of researchers, doctors and strategic partners of the company, especially the presence of Prof. Nguyen Chan Hung – Chairman of the Vietnam Cancer Association. We also were honored to invite Prof. Richard Gralla from Monter Cancer Center, USA to share his extensive expertise in the field of cancer as well as new approach to Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV) with the local doctors present at the conference.

In 2009, Viet-Phap became the first private pharmaceutical company in Vietnam to successfully acquire the right to distribute an originator with patent protection – Aloxi®. With the main ingredient Palonosetron HCL 0.25mg/5ml, Aloxi® is used in the treatment and prevention of vomiting, especially delayed vomiting in cancer patients using chemotherapy.
